Exaton 19.12.3.L (ESW)
Exaton 19.12.3.L is a chromium‑nickel‑molybdenum strip electrode designed for electro‑slag welding (ESW) and submerged arc welding (SAW) to deposit a 19%Cr/12%Ni/3%Mo corrosion‑resistant alloy on carbon and low‑alloy steels.
Key Features
- Provides a single‑layer solution with high corrosion resistance.
- Consistent wire quality batch‑to‑batch (chemistry, mechanical properties, dimensions).
- Innovative chemistry with increased Cr and Mo for better durability.
- SAW flux packaged in steel drums (20‑25 kg) offering low moisture and reduced damage.
- ESW flux delivers faster cladding and lower overall operating cost.
Specifications
- Classifications: EN ISO 14343‑A : B 19 12 3 L, SFA/AWS A5.9 : EQ316L
- Approvals: CE (EN 13479), UKCA (EN 13479), VdTÜV 03769
- Typical wire composition (%): C 0.020, Mn 1.8, Si 0.4, S 0.020, P 0.020, Ni 13, Cr 18.5, Mo 2.9, Cu 0.1, FN WRC‑92 8
Applications
- Electro‑slag welding (ESW) and submerged arc welding (SAW) of stainless‑steel and nickel alloys.
- Deposition of corrosion‑resistant cladding on carbon and low‑alloy steels.
- Use with buffer layers such as Exaton 21.13.3.L, 22.11.L or 24.13.L.
- Compatible with fluxes Exaton 47S, 49S (ESW) and Exaton 10SW (SAW).
