Exaton 19.12.3.LSiMo (GMAW)
Exaton 19.12.3.LSiMo is a high‑performance MIG wire designed for welding austenitic stainless steel alloys (e.g., 316, 304, 321, 347) up to 400 °C. Its chemistry provides superior corrosion resistance thanks to increased Mo content.
Key Features
- Developed for heavy‑duty stainless steel welding (SAW, MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma)
- Consistent chemistry and mechanical properties batch‑to‑batch
- High corrosion resistance with ~2.9 % Mo
- Low‑moisture SAW flux packaging (20‑25 kg drums)
- Enables single‑layer overlay deposits, reducing labor and cost
Specifications
- Alloy Type: Austenitic (≈9 % ferrite) 19 % Cr – 12 % Ni – 3 % Mo – Low C – High Si
- Shielding Gas: M12, M13 (EN ISO 14175)
- Tensile Yield Strength: 455 MPa (as welded)
- Tensile Strength: 600 MPa (as welded)
- Elongation: 35 % (as welded)
- Charpy Impact: 95 J @ 20 °C, 60 J @ –110 °C, 35 J @ –196 °C
- Typical Wire Composition (%): C 0.013, Mn 1.8, Si 0.9, S 0.010, P 0.018, Ni 12, Cr 18.5, Mo 2.9, Cu 0.10, N 0.05, Nb 0.04, Ti 0.002, Co 0.05, FN WRC‑92 9
- Deposition Data (example): 0.8 mm – 55‑160 A – 12‑24 V – 4.0‑17.0 m/min – 1.0‑4.1 kg/h
Applications
- Welding of 18 % Cr – 8 % Ni and 18 % Cr – 10 % Ni – 3 % Mo stainless steels
- Overlay and joining of ASTM 316/316L/316Ti, 304/304L, 321, 347
- Suitable for MIG/MAG, plasma, hot‑wire TIG and mechanized TIG processes
- Heavy‑duty SAW applications where low moisture flux is required
