Exaton 19.13.4.L (ESW)
Exaton 19.13.4.L (ESW) is a chromium‑nickel‑molybdenum strip electrode for electro‑slag welding (ESW) or submerged arc welding (SAW), designed to deposit a corrosion‑resistant 19%Cr/13%Ni/4%Mo alloy layer on carbon and low‑alloy steels.
Key Features
- High corrosion‑resistant chemistry (19% Cr, 13% Ni, 4% Mo)
- Consistent wire quality batch‑to‑batch
- Low‑moisture SAW flux packaging (20‑25 kg drums)
- Enables single‑layer overlay, reducing cost and labor
- Suitable for use with buffer layer consumables (e.g., 21.13.3.L)
Specifications
- Classifications: EN ISO 14343‑A : B 19 13 4 L, SFA/AWS A5.9 : EQ317L
- Typical Wire Composition (%): C ≤0.02, Mn 1.5, Si 0.4, S ≤0.020, P ≤0.020, Ni 14, Cr 19, Mo 3.6, Cu ≤0.3, FN WRC‑92 7
Applications
- Electro‑slag welding (ESW) and submerged arc welding (SAW) of stainless and nickel alloys
- Corrosion‑resistant cladding on carbon and low‑alloy steels
- Single‑layer overlay solutions reducing the need for multiple layers
