Exaton 21.13.3.L
Exaton 21.13.3.L is a chromium‑nickel‑molybdenum strip electrode designed for corrosion‑resistant alloy surfacing using electro‑slag welding (ESW) or submerged arc welding (SAW). It enables single‑layer overlays on carbon and low‑alloy steels and can be combined with other Exaton electrodes for multi‑layer deposits.
Key Features
- Suitable for ESW with Exaton 47S flux and SAW with Exaton 10SW flux
- High Cr, Ni, and Mo content for excellent corrosion resistance
- Consistent wire quality batch‑to‑batch
- Steel drum packaging provides moisture resistance (20‑25 kg drums)
- Enables cost savings through reduced cladding layers and consumable use
Specifications
- Classifications: EN ISO 14343‑A : B 21 13 3 L, SFA/AWS A5.9 : EQ(309LMo)
- Typical Wire Composition (%): C ≤0.015, Mn 1.8, Si 0.2, S ≤0.015, P ≤0.020, Ni 13.5, Cr 20.5, Mo 2.9, Cu ≤0.3, FN WRC‑92 13
Applications
- Corrosion‑resistant surfacing of stainless steel and nickel alloys
- Heavy‑duty SAW welding
- Electro‑slag welding overlays
- Multi‑layer weld deposits for enhanced performance
