Exaton Ni72HP (ESW)
Exaton Ni72HP is a strip electrode designed for electroslag welding (ESW) or submerged arc welding (SAW) to produce a corrosion‑resistant ERNiCr‑3 (UNS N06600) overlay on carbon, C‑Mn and low‑alloy steels.
Key Features
- Suitable for ESW with Exaton 69S/79S or SAW with Exaton 50SW flux
- High corrosion‑resistant chemistry with 72% Ni and 20% Cr
- Consistent wire quality batch‑to‑batch
- SAW flux packaged in moisture‑resistant 20–25 kg drums
- Reduces number of cladding layers, lowering cost and labor
Specifications
- Classifications: SFA/AWS A5.14 : EQNiCr‑3, EN ISO 18274 : B Ni 6082
- Approvals: VdTÜV 03769
- Typical Wire Composition (%): C 0.030, Mn 3, Si 0.1, S 0.01, P 0.01, Ni 72, Cr 20, Cu 0.01, Ti 0.27, Fe 0.33, Nb+Ta 2.70
Applications
- Electroslag welding (ESW) overlay on carbon and low‑alloy steels
- Submerged arc welding (SAW) strip cladding for stainless steel and nickel alloy repairs
- Heavy‑duty environments requiring high corrosion resistance
