FILARC 88S

FILARC 88S is a basic coated low‑hydrogen stick electrode alloyed with up to 1 % Ni, designed for positional welding of high‑tensile steels such as S460.

Key Features

  • Low‑hydrogen, basic coating for good weld toughness down to –60 °C
  • Contains 0.9 % Ni for improved strength in higher tensile steels
  • Suitable for AC and DC‑ welding (root passes with DC‑)
  • Short‑arc, slow weave recommended for optimal penetration
