OK 63.20

OK 63.20 is a rutile‑coated stick electrode designed for welding 18Cr12Ni3Mo stainless steels and similar stabilized grades. It excels on thin‑walled pipes and can be used in all positions, including vertical‑down.

Key Features

  • Rutile (acid) coating for easy arc stability and smooth slag removal.
  • Suitable for 1.6 mm to 3.2 mm diameters.
  • Vacuum‑packed VacPac packaging protects against moisture.
  • Works with DC+ and AC power sources.
  • Offers good deposition rates (0.3 – 1.2 kg/h) across size range.

Specifications

  • Welding Current: DC+, AC
  • Ferrite Content: FN 3‑10
  • Alloy Type: Austenitic CrNiMo
  • Coating Type: Acid Rutile
  • Minimum AC Open Circuit Voltage: 50 V
  • Diameters: 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.2 mm (lengths 300 mm–350 mm)
  • Typical Amps/Volts: 15‑40 A / 23 V (1.6 mm) up to 55‑110 A / 26 V (3.2 mm)
  • Deposition Efficiency: 60‑63 %

Applications

  • Welding of thin‑walled stainless steel pipes.
  • General stainless steel fabrication (18Cr12Ni3Mo, stabilized grades).
  • All welding positions, including vertical‑down.
  • Situations requiring flexibility where SMAW is preferred over MIG or FCAW.
