OK Autrod 16.95
A continuous solid corrosion resisting chromium-nickel-manganese wire designed for welding austenitic stainless alloys containing 18% Cr, 8% Ni, and 7% Mn. It offers general corrosion resistance comparable to the parent metal, with higher silicon content to enhance wetting properties.
Key Features
- Modified ER307 variant with increased manganese to minimize hot cracking sensitivity
- Higher silicon content improves welding characteristics such as wetting
- Suitable for a wide range of industrial applications across dissimilar and hardenable steels
Specifications
- Classifications: EN ISO 14343-A (G 18 8 Mn), SFA/AWS A5.9 (ER307 mod), Werkstoffnummer (~1.4370)
- Alloy Type: Austenitic (18% Cr - 8% Ni - 7% Mn)
- Recommended Shielding Gas: M12, M13 (EN ISO 14175)
- Tensile Strength: 640 MPa | Yield Strength: 450 MPa | Elongation: 41%
- Impact Value: 95 J at 20 °C
Applications
- Welding austenitic, manganese, and work-hardenable steels
- Joining armourplate and heat-resistant steels
- Ideal for cladding and joining dissimilar materials where corrosion resistance is secondary
