OK Autrod 308LSi

OK Autrod 308LSi is a continuous solid corrosion‑resisting chromium‑nickel welding wire designed for austenitic stainless steel (18% Cr‑8% Ni) applications. It offers good general corrosion resistance, low carbon content for reduced intergranular corrosion risk, and higher silicon for improved wetting.

Key Features

  • Solid corrosion‑resistant Cr‑Ni wire (18% Cr, 8% Ni).
  • Low carbon alloy reduces intergranular corrosion.
  • Higher silicon content enhances wetting and welding stability.
  • Suitable for chemical, food processing, pipe, tube, and boiler fabrication.

Specifications

  • Alloy Type: Austenitic (≈8% ferrite) 19% Cr – 9% Ni – Low C – High Si.
  • Shielding Gas: M12, M13 (EN ISO 14175).
  • Yield Strength (As Welded): 370 MPa.
  • Tensile Strength (As Welded): 490 MPa (EN ISO 350 °C), 570 MPa (EN ISO).
  • Elongation: 36 % (EN ISO, As Welded).
  • Impact Values (As Welded): 105 J @ 20 °C, 70 J @ –60 °C, 40 J @ –196 °C.
  • Typical Wire Composition %: C 0.01, Mn 1.8, Si 0.8, S 0.012, P 0.013, Ni 10.0, Cr 20.0, Mo 0.1, Cu 0.10, N 0.06, Nb 0.02.
  • Deposition Data (example for 1.0 mm): 80‑240 A, 15‑28 V, 4.0‑16.0 m/min, 1.5‑6.0 kg/h.

Applications

  • Chemical processing equipment.
  • Food processing equipment.
  • Pipes, tubes, and boiler fabrication.
  • General stainless‑steel welding where corrosion resistance is critical.
