OK Tigrod 16.95

OK Tigrod 16.95 are corrosion‑resistant chromium‑nickel‑manganese TIG welding rods designed for austenitic stainless alloys (18% Cr, 8% Ni, 7% Mn). They provide good wetting and general corrosion resistance comparable to the base metal.

Key Features

  • Austenitic (18 % Cr – 8 % Ni – 7 % Mn) alloy with higher silicon for improved wetting
  • EN ISO 14343‑A and AWS A5.9 classifications (ER307 mod)
  • CE, UKCA, DB and VdTÜV approvals (location‑specific)
  • Available in 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm and 3.2 mm diameters, 1 m length, 5 kg packs

Specifications

  • Alloy Type: Austenitic (18 % Cr – 8 % Ni – 7 % Mn)
  • Shielding Gas: I1 (EN ISO 14175)
  • Yield Strength (As Welded): 450 MPa
  • Tensile Strength (As Welded): 640 MPa
  • Elongation (As Welded): 41 %
  • Charpy Impact (20 °C): 130 J
  • Charpy Impact (-60 °C): 56 J
  • Typical Weld Metal Composition (%): C 0.08, Mn 6.5, Si 0.7, S 0.020, P 0.010, Ni 8.5, Cr 18.5, Mo 0.1, Cu 0.1

Applications

  • Joining austenitic stainless steels
  • Dissimilar metal welding where corrosion resistance is secondary
  • Welding manganese, work‑hardening, armourplate and heat‑resistant steels
