OK Tigrod 312

OK Tigrod 312 are bare corrosion‑resisting chromium‑nickel welding rods designed for welding 29 % Cr, 9 % Ni steels. They offer good oxidation resistance at high temperatures and are ideal for joining dissimilar steels and hard‑to‑weld alloys.

Key Features

  • Ferritic‑austenitic alloy (29 % Cr – 9 % Ni) providing high corrosion and oxidation resistance
  • Suitable for shielding gases I1, I2, I3 (EN ISO 14175)
  • Certified to EN ISO 14343‑A and AWS A5.9 ER312 standards
  • Excellent mechanical properties: 610 MPa yield strength, 770 MPa tensile strength (as welded)
  • Impact value of 50 J at 20 °C (as welded)

Specifications

  • Classifications: EN ISO 14343‑A : W 29 9, SFA/AWS A5.9 : ER312
  • Approvals: CE EN 13479, UKCA EN 13479
  • Alloy Type: Ferritic‑austenitic (29 % Cr – 9 % Ni)
  • Shielding Gas: I1, I2, I3 (EN ISO 14175)
  • Yield Strength: 610 MPa (as welded)
  • Tensile Strength: 770 MPa (as welded)
  • Charpy Impact: 50 J at 20 °C (as welded)
  • Typical Weld Metal Analysis (%): C 0.1, Mn 1.7, Si 0.5, S 0.010, P 0.020, Ni 9, Cr 29
  • Typical Wire Composition (%): C 0.10, Mn 1.7, Si 0.41, S 0.001, P 0.020, Ni 8.8, Cr 30.4, Mo 0.15, Cu 0.11, N 0.05

Applications

  • Joining dissimilar steels, especially where one component is fully austenitic
  • Welding machine components, tools, and austenitic manganese steels
  • High‑temperature service where oxidation resistance is critical
