Shield-Bright 316L X-tra is a gas-shielded flux‑cored wire (FCAW/MCAW) designed for welding 18%Cr‑12%Ni‑2%Mo stainless steel in flat and horizontal positions. It offers excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, making it ideal for the pulp and paper industry.
Key Features
- Produces flat weld deposits across all positions thanks to fast‑freezing slag.
- Rutile‑based slag system enables spray transfer mode at high currents.
- Easy slag release with minimal spatter, reducing post‑weld cleaning.
- Compatible with mixed or CO₂ shielding gases (M21, C1).
