Stoody XHC
Stoody XHC is a solid‑core stick electrode with an extruded graphitic coating for high deposition rates and excellent weldability. It offers strong abrasion resistance while remaining non‑machinable.
Key Features
- Solid core electrode with graphitic coating containing alloying elements
- High deposition rate across 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.8 mm diameters
- Excellent resistance to sliding and grinding abrasion up to 1000 °F (538 °C)
- Bonds well to carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels
Specifications
- Welding Current: DC+
- Alloy Type: Primary Chromium Carbides in an Austenitic Matrix
- Typical Weld Metal Analysis (%): C 5.4, Mn 2.4, Si 1.3, Cr 24.0, Mo 0.5
- Deposition Data:
- 3.2 mm → 100‑150 A (Full Range)
- 4.0 mm → 125‑250 A (Full Range)
- 4.8 mm → 150‑300 A (Full Range)
Applications
- Hardfacing and repair of wear‑prone surfaces
- Maintenance of carbon and low‑alloy steel equipment
- Extending service life of components exposed to abrasive environments
